Why this book and why now?

I’ve always wanted to go whitewater rafting, but my wife has always said no. I figured the next best thing to going was to write a book about it. Side note, this is my wife’s favorite book that I’ve written, and after reading it she said she might reconsider going. So, I’d like to say it was my diabolical plan to get her to go with me.

What is a significant way your book has changed since either the first draft or the way you thought it would turn out when you first had the inspiration?

Without giving away too much, Quinn Coolidge is dealing with a very heavy issue that has caused her to hide away from the world. I first thought the resolution of the issue would be taken out of Quinn’s hands, but by the end of the book I knew that she had to have a more active role in dealing with it.

What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?

Quinn and Mick would binge watch some kind of Extreme Sporting event.

One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. What do they do?

Quinn would plan a quiet date. Probably a five-star restaurant on the waterfront, where after dinner she and Aspen would walk on the beach in the moonlight and talk for hours. There may or may not be skinny dipping 🙂

Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.

Mick is going to be the one doing the toasting, and since she loves to screw with Quinn she’ll pick something cheap and obnoxious like Boone’s Farm or Cold Duck.

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. The song has a special place near the end of the book. I won’t spoil it. Let’s just say, when it plays there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house.
