Why this book and why now?

This is the second book in a series and I’d planned to write Shelby’s story as soon as I introduced her in Book 1. I was eager to write her love interest Victoria. She’s a bad ass whereas Shelby is the kindest person you’ll meet. She tames Victoria and that was fun.

Would you and your main character(s) get along?

Shelby and I would be fast friends. We both are easy going and love a beer (non-alcoholic) for me.

What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?

They would binge watch NCIS Hawaii because they would love the gay couple representation with Whistler and Lucy in the show. They have their ups and downs just like Victoria and Shelby have.

What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

Shelby would take Victoria into the outdoors to a secluded place where she’d set up a romantic oasis complete with a cushy pillows and blankets. They’d gaze at the stars, drink hot chocolate and roast marshmallows then snuggle. This is something no one would expect Victoria to enjoy because she’s such a wealthy CEO with lots of money, but Shelby knows when they’re together this is what Victoria loves.

Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.

Victoria and Shelby would toast the release of their book with champagne and their own special trail mix. Take cashews mixed with butterscotch chips and warm so the butterscotch melts into the cashews. This treat is one I happened upon while hiking in the heat. It has appeared in a couple of my books. They’d drink champagne because getting a second chance calls for the best!
