Why this book and why now?

I wrote this book as the last book of the series because Scarlet is the shyest of the 6 friends in The Holiday Series. She has such a hard time talking to women that I wanted to make her wait for the someone (I know, I’m a little evil), but then make that someone the perfect woman for her. Scarlet is the quiet, reserved, smart friend, who some people overlook, but Dakota can see what’s going on in that head of hers. And I wanted the book to come out around Christmas because I could picture the two of them sitting around a nice fire, holding cups of hot chocolate while it’s snowing outside.

Would you and your main character(s) get along?

I think so. Scarlet pretty much likes everyone. Dakota is a little more my speed when it comes to her humor, so I think we’d get along okay.

What’s your main character(s)’s favorite book and why?

C++ for Dummies because it’s about coding but makes it accessible. And a good lesbian romance novel, of course.

What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

Scarlet would bring Dakota, her computer, and all 5 of her very best friends. (Is that allowed?)

Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.

Lime sparkling water – or, as Dakota would call it, “window cleaner.”

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

Scarlet would let Dakota choose the song, and Dakota would tell her to pick instead. Kind of a “No, you hang up” scenario. So, Talon would end up choosing “the damn song” and tell them to get a room. She’d pick “Good as Hell” by Lizzo.
