Why this book and why now?
This book came from two ideas merged into one: one was a fun mystery and the other was a heartwarming ghost story about friends reunited after a tragedy. But one kept feeling too light and the other too dark so I thought–why not merge them together into one fun, heartwarming book? Lo and behold: Say I Boo!
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
Yes, I think we’d get along because we’ve both experienced loss, and it’s made us both more insistent on making life as enjoyable as possible.
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
Lucas and Abby have definitely binge-watched Psych because it’s a fun, lighthearted and goofy mystery which is pretty much Abby’s favorite thing.
What’s your main character(s)’s favorite book and why?
She definitely grew up on Nancy Drew, and loved the characters despite figuring out the mystery early on each time!
