It’s Halloween, and the Daniels have been invited to attend a costume ball at one of the posh hotels in downtown London. Jane goes as Shaggy to Kennedy’s Scooby-Doo. The party is in full swing when Scooby-Doo is killed by a sniper bullet. Fortunately, the killer shot another Scooby-Doo — a judge with the reputation of being hard on gang members. However, Jane fears the bullet may have been intended for Kennedy.
Two days later, when someone tries to knife Kennedy in the Underground, Trudy’s proven right. What’s more, Kennedy knows the perp. Devon Maldin suffers from PTSD from his time in Afghanistan. They met in an online chat group.
