Why this book and why now?

Last year I developed a love for flowers and understanding their meanings. I fell in love with sunflowers and what they meant. I’d only been writing YA Fiction up until that point, but I wanted to try something new. So, I set out to write my first Adult Romance but I wanted the main character to embody the qualities of a sunflower. I wanted people to read the story and see how strong, resilient, and beautiful she was. I also wanted her to find a spouse that made sure she knew all of those. In the end, Autumn was created. The Sunflower of the series.

Do your character names have special significance or meaning?

The main characters are named Autumn and Winter. I did this because I wanted it to seem like a cute coincidence. Also, Autumn was born in Winter and Winter was born in Autumn.

What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?

Once Upon a Time. That’s actually their favorite show in the series and eventually it ends up being Autumn’s daughter’s favorite show as well.

What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

Obviously her daughter, but also a book and a notepad so that she can draw to pass the time.

Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.

A daiquiri because that’s Autumn’s go-to drink. She loves them strong and fruity.
