1. I am a drummer.
2. My favorite song is “Bigmouth Strikes Again” by the Smiths.
3. I like watching baseball and hockey. My favorite team in baseball are the Phillies and my favorite teams in hockey are the Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Victoire.
4. I went to three NHL and PWHL games this past season.
5. I like listening to horror fiction podcasts like the Antiquarium of Sinister Happenings, Welcome to Mayfair and the SCP Archives. I also am looking to read more horror novels and am open to recommendations regarding that genre.

It can seem sometimes like all the news these days is bad. We won’t deny there’s a lot of troubling things going on, including a rise in hate crimes. But it’s not all terrible out there! We want to do our best to highlight good news, because while it may seem like the world is filled with hate, there are many individuals who are living their best lives with a rainbow in their heart.
This week’s good news involves Utah.
A gay rights advocate who played a key role in securing marriage equality in Utah is now launching a bid for Congress.
Former Utah state Sen. Derek Kitchen (D) announced in late November that he is entering the race to represent Utah’s newly redrawn First Congressional District, a Democratic-leaning area that includes Salt Lake City.
