After a decade with her ex-partner and the pandemic deaths of her parents, the dating apps aren’t working, and lesbian picture book illustrator Jaime is struggling to find a future beyond the one she imagined for herself so many years ago. Plus, she’s already forty-something and sometimes still wants a kid.

When sparks begin to fly from somewhere quite surprising, Jaime and her new love interest must navigate not only their unexpected feelings for each other, but also their complex pasts, familial obligations, an unforeseen windfall, and disaster close to home. Not to mention that their exes aren’t entirely gone from the picture.
