The following ad options are available:

Premium Plus Ads (Can be for books, series, or other products of interest)

This is our top level of advertising, providing the best opportunity for visibility and the most customization. Perfect for giving your new release the strongest possible launch.

  • Supply your own graphics (400×600 and 1200×400), subject to IHS approval. Or choose to have IHS design the graphics for you. It’s up to you!
  • Supply your own URL if desired (cannot be an affiliate link)
  • Includes premium ad placement for desktop and mobile (these are higher on the page in desktop mode and the longer rectangular ads on mobile)
  • Includes one premium plus email ad placement in an IHS newsletter during the advertising period. The ad will link to your URL if you provide one. This is the slot at the very top, before the body of the newsletter.
  • Includes a static ad in one IHS post on the website during your 4-week run. This will be in the premium plus space (the first ad in the post). This ad will link to Amazon or to the URL you provided.
  • Available to advertise books, book series, author newsletter signup, cover design services, publisher websites, awards, giveaways, organizations, editorial services, or any other book related offering, subject to IHS approval.
  • Ads start on Monday mornings and run through Sunday evenings
Premium Plus: $50 for 4 weeks

Premium Ads

This is an excellent option for new releases, first in series books, or any book you are wanting to promote for a special reason, such as a sale.

  • Includes premium ad placement for desktop and mobile (these are higher on the page in desktop mode and the longer rectangular ads on mobile)
  • Includes IHS in-house graphic design
  • Includes one premium email ad placement in the newsletter of our choosing during the advertising period. This is the second advertising slot in the newsletter. The ad will link to the book’s product page on IHS.
  • Includes a static ad in one IHS post on the website during your 4-week run. This will be in the premium space (the second ad in the post). This ad will link to Amazon.
  • Only available to advertise a book on Amazon
  • IHS will create a universal link to the book’s Amazon page
  • Ads start on Monday mornings and run through Sunday evenings
Premium: $40 for 4 weeks

Standard Ads

This is a great budget-minded option for new releases, sale books, or back catalogue books that provides good visibility on our website and in our newsletter.

  • Includes standard ad placement for desktop and mobile (these are lower on the page in desktop mode or the smaller rectangles that run three in a row on mobile.)
  • Includes IHS in-house graphic design
  • Includes one standard email ad placement in the newsletter of our choosing during the advertising period. The ad will link to the book’s product page on IHS. This is the third slot in the newsletter.
  • Only available to advertise a book on Amazon
  • IHS will create a universal link to the book’s Amazon page
  • Ads start on Monday mornings and run through Sunday evenings

How does our ad space work?

When you book an ad on IHS, you are choosing a type of ad space as opposed to purchasing a specific spot on a specific page. This is because our ads are served randomly every time a visitor moves to a new page.  Premium ads are served from one “pool” of ads while standard come from a different “pool.” Premium ads will be higher up on the page than standard ads, and on mobile devices they will be larger than standard ads. You can see an illustration of this below.

Please remember, our ads are dynamic! This means they are different every time a new page is loaded, and every visitor has a different ad experience. We get several frantic emails each month to tell us an ad is not running. Not every ad shows up every time you load the page. Try visiting a few different pages and we are almost certain your ad will be there. Due to website caching, simply refreshing the page you are on will not necessarily make the ads change for you, so do try loading new pages.

If you still can’t find it after visiting several pages, please let us know so we can confirm for you that it is in the ad pool.
