Lincoln is having a bad day. First, she breaks off her engagement. Then, she dies and comes back to life. To top it all off, she gets told that she is the last Deathwalker to show up in over a decade and she doesn’t even know what that word means. The silver lining is Priya, a beautiful badass who helps guide souls to the afterworld. As a Gatekeeper, it’s Priya’s job to keep the mortal realm and the afterworld separated. But things have been changing in the last few years. Demon attacks are growing and Deathwalker magic is practically non-existent these days. The only way to find out what’s going on is to visit the Queen of the afterworld and only Deathwalkers are permitted to go.
Lincoln is suddenly thrust into a world she knows little about and is forced to be a hero in a story she barely understands. Magic, love and mysteries start to unravel quickly as Lincoln is pushed to protect the mortal realm and Priya. The rest of the Gatekeeper’s believe she can do it but will that be enough? Lincoln will soon find out.
