Secrets of the Italian Villa

Why this book and why now?
My romance novel took over seven years to finish. Prior to starting it, my 20-year relationship dissolved and I went travelling to Italy. I stayed in a villa with friends and felt re-energized, starting to write a story. The main character both spoke to me and healed me.
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
We would absolutely get along. There is Gerri, the MC, who house-sits the villa; and then there are twelve fun-loving lesbians from California who stay at the villa. I’d get along with all of them.
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
She would watch an Agatha Christie mystery, because the story’s subplot involves the uncovering of a long-hidden mystery.
One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it.
Gerri the MC (main character) is a culinary arts teacher, so for a romantic evening, she’d create a romantic candlelight dinner with Italian wine, and she’d set the table in the villa’s flowering gazebo, light the candles, and…well, you can guess the rest.
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.
The iconic “Aperol Spritz” cocktail with Prosecco, Aperol, and soda water! Watch-out for the bubbles up your nose!
What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?
Hmmm, good question (all good questions!). Lots of song choices. How about: “Straight to …Number One” – Dreamcatcher’s Mix.
