Now let’s get to today’s fun: Cynthia Payne

On November 15, 2015, Cynthia Diane Payne died at the age of eighty-two.

In 1978, Payne, known as “Madame Cyn,” garnered national attention in Britain when her home was raided by the police during a sex party. There were fifty-three men in attendance, including “a peer of the realm, an MP, a number of solicitors and company directors and several vicars.”

In 1980, Payne was sentenced to eighteen months in prison, but it was lowered to six months and a fine on appeal

The police raided her home again in 1986. This time she was acquitted. Payne wanted to change the sex laws in Britain and stood for Parliament as a candidate for the Payne and Pleasure Party (excellent political party name in TB’s opinion) in the Kensington by-election in July 1988.

In 2006, she introduced an array of adult services and products.

To honor Cynthia Payne, we’re asking readers to go to the BookFinder and look up books in the following Setting category: Brothel / Sex Club.

Find a book you haven’t read yet, or if you come across an old favorite, share it and tell us why. To enter the giveaway, share your entry in the Facebook group.

Remember, the more days you play, the more entries you’ll receive for the $15 Amazon gift card, so don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another Book Finding Mission.

Authors, if your books aren’t in the database yet, we highly recommend you submit them now. Here’s the form.
