Why this book and why now?

It was past time for a sequel and Rosemary came about because I wanted a second hero beyond Lily who was the hero in the first book of the series, The Liaison. Having Lily’s half Interdimensional Being (IDB) daughter, Birdie (Aili) grow from an infant to an adult in the course of only several years was asking a lot of the readers, as well as the other characters in Rosemary, but I felt it was something inevitable to prepare for the upcoming battle. Then for Birdie to find a compadre in arms in Rosemary, well, there was my other hero. The character Rosemary is beyond intelligent and has a grace and tolerance of adversity that we should all emulate. I hope my readers will enjoy this continuing story.

Do your character names have special significance or meaning?

Yes, Birdie was given the nickname by her mom because she tilts her head like a bird when communicating with the IDBs. Her real name Aili was given her by the IDBs when she was born, and it is Finn for blessed. Rosemary’s name was because her mother loved the rosemary plant.

What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?

Firefly, because it’s a cool SciFi series.

One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it.

Birdie and Rosemary would slowly blend their pure energy IDB sides of themselves into complete sensory overload. Then they would share a pint of non-dairy ice cream.

Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.

Lily toasts the book release with an ice-cold Corona beer with lime. Birdie and Rosemary lean toward iced vanilla lattes made with oat milk.

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

Lily chooses to start the party with “Give Me One Reason” by Tracy Chapman so that she can entice Hunter into dancing with her.
