Why this book and why now?

As a lover of sapphic romance, I wanted to finally write a story where that was my focus from the beginning, and of course I might have a love for shifter stories as well. This is my child of those ideas, born from an idea that had been penned a while earlier.

What is a significant way your book has changed since either the first draft or the way you thought it would turn out when you first had the inspiration?

This was originally going to be a vampire story, and when the first chapter was envisioned, that was the direction in which it was penned. Due to circumstances that changed, and I’m much happier with what I ended up writing instead.

Aside from the obvious food and shelter, what 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

Elara and Riley would want each other (they would not handle being separated very well, and to be honest, Riley would just fly back to find Elara if it somehow happened), a source of books to read (e-reader ^^), and probably a blanket so that they could cuddle up together.

One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it. What do they do?

A simple restaurant meal (nothing fancy; neither has very specific tastes, apart from the desire for chocolate to be in the menu somewhere), followed by a walk under the stars, some slow dancing with just the two of them, and then lots of cuddling as they fall asleep in each others arms (along with anything else that might happen).

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

Iron by Within Temptation, because the chorus relates to both Riley and her so much, not necessarily in the obvious way, but in what they have become. That and the music would become something haunting and wonderful in the Between.
