Why this book and why now?
This was my first submission to Bold Strokes Books and my fourth published novels. They declined it as it was written back then, but after working with two amazing editors, and learning new skills, I rewrote the book and love the new version so much more than the original.
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
Sam and I would get along splendidly!!! We both worked in IT. We both were the IT expert to protect our company from hacking, maintaining security and building a strong security presence. We also have a love of country live, country music, and cinnamon rolls shared over an amazing view with a perfect cup of coffee!
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, because it’s amazing, funny, and she’s perfectly snarky!!
One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it. What do they do?
Either of my main characters in this story would enjoy pizza delivery, a six pack of beer or a fine whiskey, and a field filled with mid-summer fireflies. There’s something about fireflies that makes an evening perfectly romantic!
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book!
The signature beverage for this book was the Lonely Blonde beer. It’s a real beer, brewed in Minnesota and yes, I found a store locally, here in Wisconsin, that carried the beer. I purchased a six pack and drank one for the main characters when I sent off my draft to my editor!! PS… it’s a wonderfully, smooth beer!!!
