Here are Nicole’s top sapphic reads of 2023:
1. Loathing You by Amin Khan
A fantastic debut for this new author. It is bully which is not well represented in sapphic fiction and has high spice. Wonderful writing, character development and story.
2. Dragon Queens by Kathleen de Plume
A feel good fantasy sapphic read. Plenty of spice, not too much drama or angst but well written and enjoyable.
3. In the Shadow of the Past by JE Leak
Sexy and suspenseful full of intrigue, this book is the kind of book you want to huddle up and ignore the rest of the world as you read the series in one sitting.
4. If I Don’t Ask by EJ Noyes
This is the book I didn’t know I needed. Gripping tension it lets you reconnect with the characters and now relive the story again through new eyes. Top level writing.
5. A Whisper of Solace by Milena McKay
This is a second time around read and wow, it blew me away as much as the first time. She is the master of angst, chemistry, longing, and tension. Fantastic character development that is probably one of my favorites of all time.
