Here are Karen’s top sapphic reads of 2023:

1. Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date by Ashley Herring Blake

Blake is a uch a captivating writer! I sink into her characters. Iris is so different from me, but I also totally see and get her thanks to Blake’s talent.

2. This Used to Be Easier by Katia Rose

I highlighted so many lines in this book. Rose could have been taking sentences straight from the thoughts in my mind. I actually teared up at some of her descriptions. Beautiful!

3. Scatter by Molly J. Bragg

I was very surprised by this book. I opened it to get a reading challenge checked off & found myself sucked in. Bragg’s writing felt effortless.

4. It’s In Her Kiss by Rachel Lacey

Honestly, I could have put the whole Midnight in Manhattan series, but I had to choose only one. Lacey writes great first kisses. This series highlights fancy jobs, but she writes such real people.

5. Down to a Science by Haley Cass

I don’t like slow burn romance, but Cass changed my mind with this story. It felt so natural that it would take so long. I also loved her use of only one MC PoV.
