Why this book and why now?

I began writing this book several years ago, only to set it aside when life’s demands intervened. Work obligations became overwhelming, prompting me to take a break from writing. Eventually, I made the bold decision to resign from my full-time job and devote myself to writing. Upon resuming work on “Mom’s Last Wish” a few months back, I found that the entire plot had undergone a transformation. Revelations within my family had come to light, and it dawned on me that this novel served as a means of both processing my emotions and immortalizing certain personal experiences through the creation of these characters.

What is a significant way your book has changed since either the first draft or the way you thought it would turn out when you first had the inspiration?

It’s difficult to try and answer this without giving away any spoilers. The main plot is around Lucy’s father. Although I used to be very close with my own father, I recently discovered some stuff about him that has caused me to disconnect from him altogether. Writing this novel was my form of journaling my emotions and creating characters based on some of my personal experiences.

What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

Bug repellent: A must-have for bug-free adventures
Sunscreen: Essential for protection against harmful sunburn
Quadbike: Perfect for exploring every corner without limits, and so much fun to drive!

One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it.

Lucy’s heart raced as she discovered the hidden littoral cave on their vast property, a secret sanctuary of love waiting to be explored. Enthralled by the notion of a private paradise, she packed their swimwear, towels, and a picnic basket filled with delectable treats, every item a promise of a day filled with enchantment.

With a playful smile that danced in her eyes, Lucy beckoned Cameron to follow her, the light of passion shimmering in her gaze. The glistening waters whispered their invitation, the rhythmic melody of the waves setting the stage for a tale of affection yet to unfold.

As they reached the sacred cave, the ambiance enveloped them in a tranquil embrace—an intimate haven where the emerald waters embraced the shore with a gentle caress. With a knowing look, Lucy guided Cameron into the azure depths, their laughter mingling with the melodies of the sea.

Savoring the flavors of the carefully curated picnic, they indulged in the sweetness of strawberries and the opulence of rich chocolate, feeding each other morsels of affection beneath the sun-kissed sky. The shared moments became treasures, etched in the tapestry of their love story, each glance a sonnet, each touch a verse.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of amber and rose over the clandestine grotto, their hearts beating as one, Lucy and Cameron found solace in each other’s arms. In the intimate embrace of the hidden cave, their love ignited like a flame, consuming them in a fervor of passion that transcended time.

Lost in the symphony of their desires, they surrendered to the magnetic pull of their love, entwined in a dance of longing and fulfillment. In the soft glow of twilight, their bodies melded as one, whispers of devotion echoing through the hollows of the cave.

In that sacred space, amid the ancient whispers of the sea and the gentle rustle of the tide, Lucy and Cameron found a love that transcended the boundaries of time and space—a love that bloomed in the hidden altar of their hearts, forever sealing their fates in the sanctity of the littoral cave.

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

“At Your Worst” by Calum Scott strikes a chord with Lucy, capturing her deep feelings as she navigates love for the first time with Cameron, willing to go to any lengths for her.
