Here are Laura’s top sapphic reads of 2024:
1. Sanctuary by Helena Harte
The first story in the Windy City Romance series and it is seriously a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Smokingly handsome ex-military butch paired with a fragile yet gorgeous femme. Team that with a stellar cast of friends and you can’t help but fall in love with Gabe and Lori’s journey.
2. Heart of the Storm by Ally McGuire
The best opposites attract Sapphic romance I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a l-o-n-g time, and a slow burn, ice queen vibe that will kill you in the best of ways.
3. The Taste of Her Silence by Sara Scott
I cried reading this book; there are no words to convey the gamut of emotions you’ll experience in following Jensy Willett’s life throughout this trilogy.
I know this is a story that will stay with me for the rest of time.
Honest, authentic, heart-warming and devasting this is a lesson in life, loss, and love.
4. Binding Bricks by Ami Spencer
This is such an epic story; enjoyed it immensely, and it’s chock full of diverse representation – non-binary MC, and autism rep.
Whilst this is a second chance romance, there’s also a great deal of focus on individual character development which really adds another layer of depth to the story.
5. When Worlds Collide by Erin Zak
Another stunning, age gap, older woman story from the phenomenal Erin Zak. I’ll never tire of Zak’s ability to take the raw messiness that is life and turn it into something beautiful worth rooting for.
