A simple way to help authors
We’re often asked how readers can help authors and while there are many ways to help, we want to highlight an easy way to make an impact.
Did you know you can follow an author on Amazon? The company loves data and if a lot of readers follow a particular author, Amazon notices and does more to help the author reach readers.
Also, when you follow an author, when they release a new book, you should get an alert from Amazon letting you know the author has a new book out and when they have special offers, such as when a book is on sale.
Not only does this help the author, but it also helps you.
That’s great, but how do I follow an author?
Sign into Amazon and then type in the author’s name in the search bar and tap the magnifying glass.
The results will pop up and then click on the author’s name:
That’ll take you to the author’s page on Amazon. At the top of the page, you’ll see the author’s photo and their name. Under their name is a follow button.
To follow the author, click the follow button.
Don’t leave the author’s page yet. Scroll down until you see this:

If you don’t follow the authors listed, click the follow buttons.
To get to more sapphic authors, click on one of the author’s icons (not on the graphic here, but on Amazon) and then scroll down. You can keep hitting the follow buttons.
You can also follow authors on Audible.
Search for an author’s name on Audible and go to their author page. The follow button is right under their name.
(Obviously, TB already follows Miranda.)
That’s all for today. Thanks so much for reading!
