SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Saturdays are when we curate all the sapphic book news and queer happenings of the week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good woman loving woman book. What could be better?

In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Sapphic reader Rory shares a Caturday photo of a beautiful kitty who knows how to chill.

One of the things we love about the weekly lesfic author selfie is getting to know the personality behind the words. Check out the picture of Aunt Georgia Lee with My Day One Roxanna – Do 4 Luv.

If you’re looking for something to read this weekend, below you’ll find 18 books on sale.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the post to see photos of flowers.

Guess the Author GraphicIt’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week we provide five clues about a sapphic author. On Saturday, we reveal the author’s identity.

Before we unveil this week’s author, here are all 5 clues in case you missed them:

1. In 2023, I built and launched a model trebuchet for the debut of my novel, A Talent Within.
2. I’ve been to North America’s biggest and longest-running tabletop gaming convention, GENCON, multiple times.
3. I love to sneak the first names of friends and family members into my novels as easter eggs.
4. I’ve owned eight different video game consoles in my lifetime, making the subject of my latest novel close to my heart.
5. The candy store in my latest novel is one of my all time favorite places to buy fudge.

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is Suzanne Lenoir!

Check out Good Game, Suzanne Lenoir’s new release!

Cover of Good Game

It’s all just fun and games until you fall in love.

Sam O’Brian might be blasting her way up the pro computer-gaming charts, but her dislike of the spotlight and her baggy clothes, undercut hair, and queer vibe make her a hard sell as a poster girl.

Enter polished marketing executive Lauren Johanssen—ambitious, driven, and a people pleaser. Her new company wants to recruit Sam for its local eSports gaming team to fix their boys’ club image. They also want Lauren to pretty up Sam’s look to appeal to the masses.

While Lauren’s up for a challenge, the more she’s pushed to change Sam, the more she likes her just as she is. She’s sworn never to date a professional gamer again, but she might be falling for the guarded, sweet gamer who still lives with her dad.

An opposites attract lesbian romance about defying expectations and being true to yourself.

Get Good Game here.

Suzanne Lenoir’s bio:

Suzanne Lenoir is the author of the Valmora series of fantasy novels from Bold Strokes Books. Her first book, A Talent Within, was a 2024 GCLS Goldie Award finalist in both the debut novel and science fiction/fantasy categories. Suzanne is a technophile, video gamer, and history buff. At the moment, you can find her listening to French 79, rewatching Arcane, and playing Call of Duty.

Monday kicks off a fresh Guess the Author game!

Have you read My Day One Roxanna – Do 4 Luv by Aunt Georgia Lee yet? Here’s the tagline: Breaking bad habits is a rhythm Roxanna, the new queen of R&B can’t shake, especially when it’s delivered in an unforgettable hook like Naomi Right.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels!

TB here.

I’m deathly allergic to flowers, so I can never have them inside. But I love them so much. Like jump and up and down, clapping my hands giddily when flowers start to make an appearance after a long winter. Not many have popped up yet, but I trawled through my photos to give me hope that the cold weather will actually go away.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Miranda & TB
