Why this book and why now?
When I was writing Ours, Luna’s aunt popped up. Isobel was married but not happily. Since I’d already started book 3 but had no idea who the other character would be, Isobel fitted in perfectly, giving her the HEA she more than deserved
How does it feel to finally share this book with readers?
I am so excited to share this with readers. I absolutely adore these characters, maybe more than my others (but please don’t tell them that!)
What’s one fun fact about your book that most people wouldn’t know?
Isobel was never meant to be a main character since she was already married in the book she briefly appeared in.
Which character do you relate to the most, and why?
I definitely relate to Hayley the most – she’s a lot like me with personality and history.
Which character was the most fun to write, and which was the hardest?
Isobel was the most fun – she’s so kind and caring but also has such a hard edge to her. I loved seeing the two sides of her. But she was also the hardest as I had to balance these and make the parts of her personality suit the situations she found herself in.
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.
Hayley and Isobel are both going for the coffee! (Neither are big alcohol drinkers)
If your book had an official mascot, what (or who) would it be?
Jeff (Isobel’s bodyguard) – he’s always there and always cheering Isobel on
Do you outline your books in detail, or do you prefer to discover the story as you write?
Oh no, I can’t outline to save my life. My characters always take control of the story and boss me around so even if I did outline, they would throw it out the window on me
