Decisions is a coming out story of the 1970s

Before The Feminine Mystique, Women’s Liberation, Martina, and Ellen, lesbians were women in the shadows. Imagine a world without the Internet, cell phones, and mass media where many felt isolated without easy access to censored information. Women for the most part were second class citizens. Abortion was illegal and The Pill was in the early stages of acceptance. People communicated by mail rather that calling long distance. No Title Nine–sports and opportunities for women were few and far between. A female coach was never called Coach, but just Miss, Ms. or Mrs. This is the world that Terri grew up in and society guided many of her decisions. She struggled to discover and accept her true self.
