Samantha Barrett is on a mission in Sweden with another CIA officer. Posing as siblings their job is to get close to a member of the royal family. But will a colleague from the past distract Sam?

“What are you doing here, John?” Sam said coming up to him at the bar after a while.
“Would you like to dance?” he said looking Sam up and down.
“No.”
“Dance with me, please.” He practically begged.
The last thing she wanted to do was dance with him. But she wanted him to answer her question. “Fine. Tell me what you’re doing here, and I’ll dance with you.”
“You gave me a mission and I needed to make sure all was going as planned,” he said taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor.
“You flew all this way to make sure everything was fine?”
“Yes,” he said.
“I don’t believe you.”
The whiskeys he downed were starting to take effect and he candidly said, “Believe what you want. I’m seeing someone. Her name is Christine.” He looked away as they danced and added quietly so only Sam could hear him. “Plenty of sluts in the sewer.” Sam stopped dancing and stared at him. She wanted to slap him but didn’t want to make a scene.

Between a partner that asks too many questions, the return of the man who nearly ruined her marriage, and a crippling fear of boats, how is Sam going to complete this assignment?
