Haley left Aimee to return home. She expected to meet her ex again since they’d chase storms across the country, but it happened earlier than she planned when she was asked to document a blizzard in the Northeast. She joined Aimee to learn what caused the strange weather and how’d it changed them once her boss made it clear she was sending Haley to deliver the cold-weather supplies Aimee needed.

Aimee explored the control over air she gained when chasing the tornadoes during the outbreak. She agreed with her Chasers to journey to the Northeast to understand what caused the blizzard and to meet Haley. She never expected to learn the storm froze those who didn’t protect themselves. She worked with Haley to survive while her feelings for her ex returned to how she felt for Haley when they were together.

They learned they’d need each other to survive the two outbreaks and what was coming.
