“So you have been cursed,” Peyton realized, “and I may never kiss thee again or else face my total destruction?”

“Yes!” said Willow with great relief, glad that Peyton had finally understood.

Eyes blazing desire, Peyton stepped close, yanked Willow to her, and kissed her passionately.

When the goblins were finally dead, Peyton wiped her sweaty brow with the back of her wrist and said, “I’ve been trying to tell you that I wish to marry you, but we keep being attacked by goblins.”

“Perhaps the gods do not wish us to wed,” Willow said with sparkling eyes.

“Or perhaps the goblins,” Peyton panted.
