Yes, but we rebranded in early 2022, and here’s why.
Our genre has many beautiful people, not just lesbian characters. Please understand, there is nothing wrong with the word lesbian. It’s how TB Markinson, the founder of this site, personally identifies. And five years ago, the word “Lesfic” was all the rage, which is why she chose it as the name for her site.
But times change, and our understanding of the diversity within our community has progressed. We’re passionate about being inclusive, especially in the wake of so many hateful laws being drafted targeting the LGBTQIA+ community.
I Heart SapphFic is a mashup of the words “sapphic” and “fiction”, and we think it does a great job relating what we’re all about.
