Made famous by the TV show Friends, Festivus is a holiday for all the people who don’t have a holiday to celebrate this month.
Created by the fictional character Frank Castanza, Festivus is a night to gather around the aluminum Festivus pole, enjoy a meal of meatloaf, and participate in the “Feats of Strength” and “Airing of Grievances” traditions. Since its introduction in 1997, many people have looked to Festivus as an alternative to Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. Inspired by the “Airing of Grievances,” we decided to highlight three romances with the theme of revenge. What can be more festive than wanting to hold a grudge but finding love instead?
