Tennis is one of the most popular sports to play and watch in the world!
While it takes little more than a racket, ball, and net to get started, professional tennis courts are generally made of grass, clay, or concrete, and sometimes artificial turf. The game can be played indoors or outdoors, and the rules are appreciated for being relatively straightforward and easy to learn, even if proper technique can take a lifetime.
One of TB and Miranda’s favorite day trips is to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI, where you can enjoy lunch while watching players on the grass courts and appreciating the beautiful historic grounds that first opened in 1880.
If you opt not to spend the day playing tennis, we have three sapphic books with tennis players for your enjoyment.
