Why this book and why now?

I really wanted to branch out a bit from the more traditional romance I typically write, and I had a dream one night involving a woman showing up and telling another woman that she was her future wife. It was in a collectible coin shop, for some reason, even though I don’t collect coins, and the next day, the idea started to niggle at me until I wrote it.

Would you and your main character(s) get along?

I think I’d get along more with Ryder than Carter because Ryder is fascinated with the past and seeing everything she can. I’m the same way, and if I had a time machine, I might be tempted to go back to various spots in history just to observe. I think Carter would be more like my wife who would stop me from taking that kind of risk.

What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?

I don’t think they’re big TV watchers, but I can see them binging a show like MythBusters or something like that, and Ryder telling Carter what’s actually possible or not before the myth is either proven or busted.

What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?

You didn’t say I couldn’t put their time machine to go back to right before they got stranded and prevent that from happening, so I’d say that. Plus, books, probably, to keep themselves occupied. Nerdy, science ones for Ryder, and maybe architecture and design books for Carter. Is that three if they’re bringing multiple books?

What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?

“Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper seems appropriate here since they keep finding each other time after time in all the timelines.
