Today is Easter

Easter is the single most important holiday on the Christian calendar, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

Though the holiday has Christian roots, it has also become popular in the secular world with the popularity of the Easter bunny and Easter egg hunts. The origins of the Easter bunny have been heavily disputed, but many agree it started in Germany. Kids and adults alike look forward to the bunny’s visit, decorating eggs, eating candy, and family or community Easter egg hunts.

For some extra fun, watch as this chocolatier makes a stunning chocolate rabbit! However you celebrate Easter, it also marks the arrival of spring.

Today we bring you three sapphic books with main characters who are members of the clergy or religious communities.

Curious what tomorrow’s special day will be?

Make sure to check back each day for your daily calendar trivia, along with more great book recommendations! Any day spent reading sapphic books is a day to be celebrated!
