Why this book and why now?
I wanted to write something more…buoyant, I guess, than my last book, The Forever and The Now. That one was beautifully weighty, so OUTCAST needed to be light and adventurous. So why not travel to another realm by falling through a portal at the back door of a laundromat?
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
They would. I think that when I write characters, I put a smidgen of myself in all of them. Sev is snarky, caring, kind and strong. Ori is passionate, loyal, and focused.
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
Ori would watch one of those home renovation shows in fascinated horror because of the excess and how all the elements are unbalanced.
What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?
Sev would need a forge, her anvil, and a pile of scrap metal.One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it.
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.
