Why this book and why now?
Because, frankly, there are just never enough lesbians in space!! Star Trek: Discovery (among others) has done a lot to further the agenda of gays in space, but we need more! Especially exciting stories like this one, about sabotage and attraction and turning unexpected opportunities into advantages for galactic domination.
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
Hahaha, absolutely not! Hylbe would find me too indecisive and flighty, and I’m definitely not clever or dangerous enough for Alludos to waste her time with me. But honestly, that’s fine with me – I wouldn’t want to be trapped in a tiny ship with them, either! Too much hot chaos energy for me, thanks!
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
Hylbe would be very into F1 racing, and Alludos would no doubt greatly enjoy watching Game of Thrones and picking every character’s decisions to absolute shreds!
What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?
Hylbe would want a phaser rifle, a space suit, and whatever the space equivalent of a Swiss army knife is. Alludos would want the strongest and stealthiest communication device possible, some trinket or sigil that confirms her identity, and as many valuables as she can carry on her person.
What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?
Hylbe would definitely pick Pink’s Get The Party Started because it’s very brash and fun, but Alludos would settle for nothing less than Killer Queen by Queen, because she is both dynamite with a laser beam and also guaranteed to blow your mind, anytime!
