Why this book and why now?
I have read a lot of books, but I haven’t read any about lesbian romance in the country music genre. It’s a subject I had a lot of fun writing about, and I hope the reader will enjoy it too 🙂
Do your character names have special significance or meaning?
No special meaning necessarily, but I have always liked the name Peyton from being a huge One Tree Hill fan growing up, so I was desperate to call one of my main characters that name at some point, and this just happened to feel like the right book to do it!
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
The L Word … because who wouldn’t? And can you really call yourself a lesbian if you haven’t seen it? I’m not so sure ha-ha.
What 3 things would your main character want with them if they got stranded away from civilization, and why?
Cleo would take a guitar to keep herself entertained, her rings/necklaces because she would find some way to use the metal to her advantage, and probably a bottle of Tequila to forget the situation.
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.
Anything with Tequila in it because she’s been heavily influenced by her roommate Jesse and his love for Tequila.
What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?
They would both choose one of Cali Wilson’s songs because Cali wrote them specifically for the book. The Sign and The Luckiest Hand are featured 🙂
