Luckily our readers like to share! We look forward to passing along these recommendations to you daily into the new year.
Here are Erin Wade’s top sapphic reads of 2023:
1. The Senator’s Wife by Jen Lyon
This is the very best book I’ve read in a very long time. It has it all. Great plot, age-gap romance, intrigue, action and excellent writing. The world of soccer becomes entwined with dirty politics. I’ve read everything Jen Lyon has written and am waiting for her next book. Read this one, you will love it. Book 1 of 3.
2. Caught Sleeping by Jen Lyon
In a series, book #2 is usually a let down from #1. Not so with “Caught Sleeping”. It is realistic and adds to the interest and action of #1. There is plenty of angst and romance.
I love the ending of this book and anticipate #3 to wrap up a great story.
3. Flight Plan by TB Markinson and Miranda MacLeod
Fast paced action and romance set in a world of wealth and deceit. This is not your run-of-the-mill story. Very well written with an excellent plot. I highly recommend.
4. Catch by Kris Bryant
Very well written. Takes the reader into the world of women striving to make it in the management world of men’s sports. Plenty of angst, personal introspection. Excellent story.
5. Shield of Justice by Radclyffe
Radclyffe is a true wordsmith. Her writing is interesting, eloquent and addictive. Shield of Justice is an action adventure romance with plenty of police protocol. Excellent mystery and “who done it.”
