Why this book and why now?
Choosing to write ‘Jody’ was a natural progression for me. She was a side character in the first two novels of the Properties Of Love series, and her complexity intrigued me enough to want to explore her story further. Additionally, after visiting Guadalajara and Sinaloa, I was captivated by the richness of these locations. However, acknowledging the realities of life in Mexico, including the presence of cartels, I decided to blend romance with suspense, and thus ‘Jody’ was born.
Would you and your main character(s) get along?
Definitely! Jody and I would hit it off. We share similar backgrounds, both having runaway pasts. She’s incredibly complex, and let’s just say, I find her irresistibly sexy.
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
Without a doubt, Jody would binge-watch Narcos. She craves the drama, danger, and adrenaline rush it delivers. And just between us, I’ve binged on every episode of the Narcos series!
What’s your main character(s)’s favorite book and why?
Jody’s favorite book? Hands down, it’s Silence of the Lambs. She’s drawn to the thrilling suspense and psychological depth it offers. It’s a page-turner she just can’t put down! Oh, and she’s reading it in Chapter One.

FYI, I did drink this after writing the end. The Paloma is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail that’s perfect for celebrating! Here’s a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
2 oz tequila
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
Grapefruit soda (such as Jarritos or Squirt)
Lime wedge, for garnish
Salt or Tajín (optional), for rimming the glass
Instructions:
Rim a highball glass with salt or Tajín, if desired.
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Add the tequila and lime juice to the glass.
Top with grapefruit soda.
Stir gently to combine.
Garnish with a lime wedge.

Jody kicks off her book launch party with ‘Tuyo’ by Rodrigo Amarante, the theme song from Narcos. It’s one helluva sexy song that perfectly sets the mood for the night, capturing the intrigue and passion that runs through both the series and my novel.
