Why this book and why now?
The idea for this book came to me in a dream actually. In the dream, a physical therapist meets and is instantly attracted to a WNBA player at a charity picnic for their team. So, I took that idea and built on it.
What is a significant way your book has changed since either the first draft or the way you thought it would turn out when you first had the inspiration?
The main characters actually met months before the charity picnic unlike I first wrote it. Also the main characters ended up being extroverts when I usually write introverted main characters. It was a nice change of pace and the book turned out a lot funnier and a bit more flirty.
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
They both really enjoy 90s/early 2000s cartoons and movies that are nostalgic to them. They bring them comfort during stressful times and they love that watching them is an activity they can enjoy together.
One of your main characters is planning a romantic night. Tell us about it.
Harley would definitely refer to previous conversations she had with Cheyenne and do her best to help her experience things that she has always wanted to experience.
Publishing a book is a huge accomplishment and it’s time to party! Choose a celebratory beverage for one of your main characters to toast the release of your new book.
Any kind of fruity daiquiri since that’s one of the signature drinks of Louisiana. It’s icy, alcoholic and gets you feeling right!
What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?
They’d play “Basketball” by Bow Wow because it’s the song that matches the book the best lol.
