Why this book and why now?
Since the first book in the Moonflower Cove series, readers have been asking for Isla and Vera’s story. I put it off until I felt they were ready to tell their story, which was now!
What is a significant way your book has changed since either the first draft or the way you thought it would turn out when you first had the inspiration?
My original plan for the book was a 40k novella. It ended at over 100k because my character got very chatty. Ha!
What TV show would your main character(s) most likely binge watch and why?
Vera binge watched Grey’s Anatomy and critiques it the entire time since she’s an actual doctor.
What’s your main character(s)’s favorite book and why?
Isla’s favorite book currently is Home is Where the Bodies are by Jeneva Rose because she loves a good mystery/thriller!
What song does your character put on to start your book launch party?
I’ve Had the Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing. It not only fits Isla and Vera’s story so well, it’s also how I feel after writing this book. It was the best possible journey I could have gone on with a book, and I’m so glad I had these characters to guide me along the way.
