Here are five random facts about Jen-Lea Mercy.

1. I got expelled from middle school for fighting. (Don’t worry, I no longer solve issues with my fists!)

2. I was in foster care.

3. I’ve always wanted to own a motorcycle, but it’s probably best that dream hasn’t come true. I have poor depth perception and balance lol.

4. I’m huge into DIY projects. So far I’ve completely renovated my bathroom and two bedrooms, tiled the wall and floor around my woodstove, built my kids a (pretty big) playhouse, and am turning an old outbuilding on my property into an office/guesthouse. Fun times!

5. I have fibromyalgia, so everything I mentioned in the previous fact takes a long time due to physical and mental agony the next day. It’s a good thing my family is patient lol.

We want to do our best to highlight good news, because while it may seem like the world is filled with hate, there are many individuals who are living their best lives with a rainbow in their heart.

This week’s good news involves a lesbian penguin.

We don’t know what we love the most about this video. There’s a penguin. With an adorable name: Green Bean. Or the song playing in the video. Put it all together, and no wonder the video went viral.
