It’s time to crown this week’s Best of the Best Winners.
How do we decide on the sapphic books to include in these polls? We value reader input, so we ask them on Patreon to nominate their favorites. It’s easy to follow the account for free. We take those nominations to create a best of the best poll and put it to the readers for a vote.
Nominating and voting is a fantastic way to show your favorite authors some rainbow love.

Countdown to 10,000
When Miranda suggested to TB that they should build a sapphic book database, TB wasn’t fully onboard. Her response was, “Sounds expensive.” While that was true, once TB came around to the idea, she fully committed.
You may not know this, but TB starts off most of her days at a ridiculously early hour and her first task every day is to enter books into the database. If she didn’t get up super early, she wouldn’t have the time to enter any books.
Here’s a fun fact you may not know. The universal links we use for the database have been clicked in 205 countries!
In October, 2022, the IHS BookFinder made its debut in the world with 1,000 books.
Three years later, TB is zeroing in on entering the 10,000th book. Right now, there are 9,998 in the database.
That means TB needs to enter 2 more books to reach the 10k mark. So exciting!
Keep an eye on this space for the big announcement when our database reaches 10,000 books!
Before we get to the Best of the Best Winners this week, it’s time for Guess the Author
Every week we’ll provide five clues about a sapphic author. This game helps readers get to know their favorite authors while having fun.
Here is today’s clue:
Clue #3: I loved English and writing in high school but ended up with a criminal justice degree that I don’t use instead.
Don’t forget to check out the Best of the Best Poll post tomorrow for Clue #4.
