Guess the Author Graphic

Every week, we’ll provide five clues about a sapphic author. This game helps readers get to know their favorite authors while having fun.

Here is today’s clue:

Clue #5: While working on this book, I spent some time in the Lake District, doing a bit of hiking and stopping in small cafés; purely for the coffee… and possibly the cake.

Meet Brandi the dog

Meet Brandi ! Brandi is my fiercely loyal GSD/Malinois rescue who is the perfect Aries emotional support animal. She is equal parts adorable and hilarious, matching my chaotic energy perfectly. She’s also turned out to be a great workout partner. She’s definitely the babiest of all my fur babies. Submitted by KL Gallagher, a sapphic author.

QUEER NEWS THAT’LL MAKE YOU SMILE

It can seem sometimes like all the news these days is bad. We won’t deny there’s a lot of troubling things going on, including a rise in hate crimes. But it’s not all terrible out there! We want to do our best to highlight good news, because while it may seem like the world is filled with hate, there are many individuals who are living their best lives with a rainbow in their heart.

This week’s good news involves Pride flags

For some reason, Philz Coffee decided to ban Pride flags from their stores. Then customers and employees spoke up telling the chain that was a really stupid and horrendous idea.

Philz Coffee has reversed their ban. “I made a mistake, and I am sincerely sorry,” said Mahesh Sadarangani, the CEO of the coffee chain.

Keep speaking up about things because it does bring about change.

Find out more here.

That’s all for today.

Wishing all of you a wonderful Friday!
