SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Saturdays are when we curate all the sapphic book news and queer happenings of the week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good woman loving woman book. What could be better?

In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Robin Clairvaux, a sapphic author, shares a Caturday photo of kitty who lives up to his name.

One of the things we love about the weekly author selfie is getting to know the personality behind the words. Check out the picture of Katia Rose with Catch the Wind.

If you’re looking for something to read this weekend, below you’ll find 13 books on sale.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the post to see photos of TB & Miranda’s visit to one of the coolest restaurants in western Massachusetts.

Guess the Author GraphicIt’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week we provide five clues about a sapphic author. On Saturday, we reveal the author’s identity.

Before we unveil this week’s author, here are all 5 clues in case you missed them:

1. I’m a trained librarian—and still have a part-time role in a library. My first published book was a contemporary romance featuring a librarian and writer.

2. My favorite place to write is in the woods. It doesn’t matter the season, snow or shine, you can find me sitting on my tangle of roots by the stream at least once a month. More often in warmer weather.

3. My non-writing obsession is roller skating. I’m firmly in my “learning spins” era and it’s humbling.

4. My first sapphic romance was a rockstar story where I basically wrote myself falling in love with Brandi Carlile. It’s been sitting unfinished on my hard drive since 2013—though I did eventually publish a different rockstar romance, so something stuck.

5. To research for my latest book, I started taking cold showers (because one of my MCs did so) thinking it was something that only adrenaline-junkies would enjoy… and now I actually like it and do it all the time. (By cold showers I mean warm showers with a minute or two of cold at the end. 😂)

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is Anna Cove!

Some loves don’t fade. They wait.

At sixteen, Kell O’Connor fell in love with her best friend. At eighteen, she watched her walk away—and learned the price of wanting something she couldn’t have.

Twenty-seven years later, Love Falls is thriving with Kell as its mayor. The revival of Main Street, the Fall Festival that put the town on the map, the queer kids who finally have somewhere to land: that’s all Kell. She’s spent her adult life alchemizing longing into purpose, turning a dying town into something braver and more vibrant than anyone thought it could be.

She’s also gotten very good at pretending the past is behind her.

Leela Sharma has spent those same twenty-seven years doing the opposite of putting down roots. A travel writer with a passport full of exits, she’s built a life on movement and never needing anyone—or anywhere—too much.

Love Falls was something she survived, not somewhere she belonged.

She’s only back for the funeral of a former mentor. One hour, in and out.

Then Kell walks into the room, and looks at her the way she always has—steady and certain, like Leela is the center of her universe.

This time, Leela doesn’t run away.

Kell knows better than to hope. She’s had decades of practice in disappointment. But with Leela back in town, the past doesn’t feel finished anymore.

They know exactly what it costs to lose each other.

What they don’t know is the cost of finding each other again.

Get Carry Me Home here.

Anna Cove’s bio:

Anna Cove writes contemporary sapphic romance because there’s nothing quite like capturing that electric moment when two people realize they could be everything to each other. She’s drawn to the beautiful mess of it, the desire and vulnerability in equal measure, and writes stories warm enough to melt you and deep enough to wreck you.

When she’s not weaving love stories, you’ll find her wandering forest trails with a paperback in her backpack, losing herself in the front row of indie concerts, or curled up with a book and that perfect cup of tea—gathering moments that might just find their way into her next novel.

The next Guess the Author will start on June 15, 2026!

Meet Noble the cat

Meet Noble! I inherited Noble and, true to his name, it only took a couple of weeks for him to assert himself as prince over my home, furniture, and dinner (if I don’t keep a close eye on him). Submitted by Robin Clairvaux, a sapphic author.

Katie rose selfie

Have you read Catch the Wind by Katia Rose yet? Here’s the tagline: She’s the very last person I should fall in love with.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels!

TB here.

Three things you should know about me. One: I love food. Two: I love trains. Three: I love Swedish meatballs.

Why am I telling you these three random facts? Because Miranda found a restaurant that combines all three.

Last week, she sent me a link to a restaurant she thought we should try. It’s not near us. I think the drive took about 1.5 hours, but we took the scenic route and stopped along the way. Day trips are one of our simple joys.

The restaurant is called Steaming Tender, and it wasn’t until I started perusing the menu that I discovered the Swedish meatballs option. It’s one of my favorite meals!

The restaurant is housed in the old Palmer Railroad Station. When it was constructed in the 1800s, it was the fifth-largest station in the United States. Right next to the building are train tracks. While we were eating, a train went by, and you could feel it shaking the building. It was fantastic.

In case you’re wondering why I love trains, my grandfather worked on the railroad, and whenever I see a train, I immediately think of him. He had such a gentle and loving soul, and I miss him every single day.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Miranda & TB
