End of Year 99c Blowout Sale, BookFinder Milestone, Reading Challenge, and More!

Dear Authors, today is the last day of NaNo and the mad dash to all of the holiday madness is about to start!

TB & Miranda are recovering from the Mega Sale, which was a smash hit. I Heart SapphFic is on track to hit 100,000 views in November!

At IHS Headquarters, we’re turning our attention to the December 99c sale and prepping the 2023 Reading Challenge.

Next week, we’ll have news about advertising opportunities on IHS in 2023.

Let’s get to this week’s news.

Join the IHS End of Year 99c Blowout Sale!

We’re organizing the IHS End of Year 99c Blowout Sale.

If you want to participate in the December 26 through December 30 sale, click here for the form.

Authors may submit 3 books for the sale. If you have several pennames, you can submit 3 books for each penname. We also count cowrites as a different penname.

The deadline to submit your book(s) for the December sale is December 16th.

Help us grow the I Heart SapphFic Newsletter!

Just like every author and business, we’re always trying to grow our email subscriber numbers.

Miranda came up with a brilliant idea for December. We’ve rolled Take Two, the story Miranda and I penned for the I Heart SapphFic Pride Collection, out of Kindle Unlimited so we can give it away as a freebie for new subscribers.

If you have a newsletter going out this month, it would be fantastic if you could share this offer. The Mailchimp sign up link is: https://eepurl.com/dxgunr

This offer is only valid for December and if you’d like the graphic, please email TB at [email protected] for it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Find a Book

The I Heart SapphFic BookFinder has more than 2,000 books!

And how many times have readers used this new resource to find a book? We’ve had nearly 12,000 searches in less than 9 weeks! This is great news for authors who want help getting eyeballs on their backlist. As TB likes to say, her backlist keeps the lights on.

We’re coming up with to showcase books in the BookFinder, so if you haven’t submitted your books, we highly recommend doing that ASAP.

Introducing our latest feature, All About the Books!

The New Release Newsletter is one of the most popular features on IHS. Authors appreciate the free exposure for their new books, and readers love finding new stories and characters to fall in love with. As for us, we love helping with that mission.

This is why we’ve started another FREE way for authors to showcase their new books.

All About the Books allows authors to provide some behind the scenes details about their new book baby, including the inspiration, what cocktails their leads would enjoy on launch day, if the author and main character would get along, and more.

If your book was published after October 11, 2022, and you’d like to take part, click here for the All About the Books submission form. Going forward, we’ll be sending you the link to participate via email when we confirm your new release submission.

Submit a new release

New Release Newsletter Submissions

Don’t forget, if you have a new release (no older than 60 days), you can submit it to be included in the New Release Newsletter that goes out every Tuesday. We feature new ebooks and audiobooks.

Click here for the submission form.

If the book(s) is already in the IHS BookFinder (for example, if this is the audio version of a book we’ve already featured), click here for the short form.

We’re booking several weeks out right now, so the sooner you send us your forms, the better. Due to space constraints, we will no longer be able to include new releases in the newsletter unless we receive a form from the author or publisher.

I Heart SapphFic 2023 Reading Challenge

Another way to get your backlist books in front of readers is by entering them for the 2023 Reading Challenge.

If you haven’t submitted your book(s) yet, you now have a ticking clock. For all books published before December 1, 2022, in order to be considered, we must receive a submission by 11:59 pm (EST) on December 1, 2022. That’s tomorrow, so don’t waste time!

The Reading Challenge was extremely popular this year and with the new website and BookFinder, the views are going through the roof. In response, we’re expanding the challenge next year, doubling the number of categories, so if you were holding off on submitting some of your books because you thought we wouldn’t have space, odds are, we will.

The new website has had over 170,000 views in just two months. There have been over 12,000 searches of the BookFinder database. We have plans to keep these numbers growing in 2023, and every book we receive, whether it is ultimately included in a reading challenge or not, gets a permanent entry in the BookFinder and its own dedicated page on our site. For free!

Simply put, you don’t want to miss out on the chance to get so many eyeballs on your book in the coming year.

Here’s the form to submit your books to the I Heart SapphFic BookFinder

Today’s grammar tip covers common word mix-ups: Patience v Patients. According to Miranda, if TB doesn’t learn more patience, she’d going to end up being a patient.
