Around the World in 80 Days Mini Reading Challenge: The Arctic, Antarctica, Greenland, and Iceland

Around the World Post Graphic
Today’s destination is The Arctic, Antarctica, Greenland, and Iceland

The Arctic and Antarctica represent Earth’s polar opposites, each holding distinct characteristics and ecological marvels. The Arctic, situated in the Northern Hemisphere, is a region characterized by its icy expanses floating atop the Arctic Ocean. It’s home to unique wildlife such as polar bears, walruses, and Arctic foxes, while indigenous communities have thrived amidst its frozen landscapes for millennia.

In contrast, Antarctica, located in the Southern Hemisphere, is a vast continent covered almost entirely by ice, with towering glaciers and icy plains defining its stark beauty. Despite its harsh conditions, Antarctica hosts an array of life, including penguins, seals, and various seabirds, while its interior conceals mysteries of Earth’s geological and climatic history.

Greenland, the world’s largest island, is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, known for its stunning icy landscapes, dramatic fjords, and vast ice sheet covering about 80% of its surface.

Iceland, located in the North Atlantic Ocean, is a captivating island nation renowned for its stunning natural beauty, including geysers, hot springs, volcanic landscapes, and majestic waterfalls.

We’re presenting a selection of sapphic books set in these areas, but you are not obligated to read one of the titles below. Find any sapphic book set in the Arctic, Antarctica, Greenland, and Iceland. Read it. Submit a form to enter to win a $75 Amazon gift card.
