Today is National Science Fiction Day

National Science Fiction Day
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is widely considered to be the first science fiction novel.

Many more science fiction novels would follow, and the first science fiction film, A Trip to the Moon, from George Melies, was released in 1919. However, the now popular term “sci-fi” was not used until 1954. To celebrate the genre of science fiction, we have chosen three sapphic sci-fi novels.
