Today is Museum Selfie Day

Daily sapphic book recommendations Museum Selfie Day
Started by a blogger in London, Museum Selfie Day is all about snapping pics of yourself in front of famous works of art.

The first thing TB Markinson said when she saw today’s celebration was, “You can’t take pictures in museums.” This used to be (and sometimes still is) true. Flash photography is an enemy of fine art and can degrade the quality of paintings over time. IHS does not condone that one bit! However, with today’s modern phones that can capture photos indoors without flashes, many more museums are allowing photography. Why not support your local museum today by buying a ticket and sharing a selfie on social media? To celebrate this day, and our love for museums of all kinds, we are recommending three sapphic books with museum curators as main characters.
