It’s not unusual for people to close their eyes when they kiss as a way to focus on the experience and block out distraction. Although kissing is thought to be a fairly recent addition in Western cultures, it has been documented for thousands of years in Asia. The origin of kissing has been traced back to Hindi and Buddhist scriptures. Kissing is so common among teenagers in the US, one research study claims that over 80% of teenagers have experienced it. Kiss Your Mate Day is a releatively new holiday, so we hope the celebration catches on!
