Clue #5: I think Arkansas has lovely autumns, and I’m fortunate to live close enough to visit and see the scenery. My new release is partly a tribute to that natural beauty.

5 Random Things is our way of helping readers to get to know top sapphic book authors all the while having a bit of fun.
Here are five random facts about L.M. Bennett.
1. On a date, I got tackled by a zombie in a funhouse. My doctor died laughing when I explained to her just how I injured my knee.
2. My wife has been banned from buying those diabolic sweet Hawaiian club crackers, because they disappear very quickly when I am unsupervised.
3. I still keep Trapper Keepers for nostalgia and pretty 90s-inspired vibes.
4. It is my sincerest opinion that New Jerseyans do not have accents and everyone else does. BUT whenever I run into someone from New Jersey, my wife comments on the very aggressive way my alleged New Jersey accent leaps out.
5. My collection or tarot decks is varied, fun and quirky. As you might expect, there’s a llama deck, a Black and Queer deck, a Mexican-themed deck, and even a NYC-based deck!
Have you read Bad Beat yet?

Before buying a “free” book, please ensure it’s free in your marketplace. Amazon has a habit of changing the price of permafree titles in stores outside of the US. Please know this it out of the author’s control and we are unable to check prices in all Amazon stores.
Some of the books are only free today, November 14, 2025, so don’t miss out!

Meet Louie the Big Ass Chihuahua! Louie got his nickname from a restaurant worker on a smoke break who ran back inside after seeing him on a walk and said “hey everybody there’s a big ass chihuahua outside!” (He is pushing 20 healthy pounds.) Submitted by CM Harris, a sapphic author.
Today’s post is also sponsored by Cassidy Langue. Please check out Head Over Heels.

HAVE YOU VOTED IN THE LATEST BOOKS OF THE MONTH POLL?

QUEER NEWS THAT’LL MAKE YOU SMILE
It can seem sometimes like all the news these days is bad. We won’t deny there’s a lot of troubling things going on, including a rise in hate crimes. But it’s not all terrible out there! We want to do our best to highlight good news, because while it may seem like the world is filled with hate, there are many individuals who are living their best lives with a rainbow in their heart.
This week’s good news involves Robert De Niro.
Trans actress Airyn De Niro says her well-known father’s “affirming” support ought to be the norm for all parents of transgender children.
The 30-year-old, whose parents are actors Robert De Niro and Toukie Smith, publicly came out as transgender earlier this year.
She recounted a therapy session with her father, during which De Niro shared his feelings about her transition with their therapist. “He said, ‘There’s no other thing to do than accept your kid for who they are and where they decide to go in life.’ He’s very good at being a dad.”
We wish all people had the love and support of their parents!

That’s all for today.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Friday!
