SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Saturdays are when we curate all the sapphic book news and queer happenings of the week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good woman loving woman book. What could be better?

In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Sapphic reader Rory shares a Caturday photo of a cutie who loves attention!

One of the things we love about the weekly author selfie is getting to know the personality behind the words. Check out the picture of Alicia Gael with Return to Morro Harbor.

If you’re looking for something to read this weekend, below you’ll find 13 books on sale.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the post to see photos of TB & Miranda at Great Wolf Lodge.

Guess the Author GraphicIt’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week we provide five clues about a sapphic author. On Saturday, we reveal the author’s identity.

Before we unveil this week’s author, here are all 5 clues in case you missed them:

1. I’m a huge tennis fan, but I never played a day in my life. I played softball (shocking).

2. Most of my books, including WIPs, take place in New England, where I grew up and lived up until 8 years ago.

3. My first book was published in 2024. I’m a new author, but not young.

4. I’ve worked with pets my entire adult life, first managing boarding facilities and now managing all-natural pet stores.

5. I learned some frightening information when I googled what would happen if the polar ice caps melted for my upcoming release.

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is J. Victoria Tobias!

Check out Heated Rain, J. Victoria Tobias’s new release!

Cover of Heated Rain

In an apocalyptic world, a woman needs to choose between the woman she’s with and the ex she thought she left behind.

What would you do to survive? Would you lie? Steal? Kill? Could you take a human life if it meant your survival?

In the years after the rains, Sergeant Major Alex Tremont had to make some hard decisions. But in the end, she lost everything. Hardened by that loss, she lives with the choices she made. Fighting alone, she stays away from people as much as possible to avoid making any emotional connections. Until her ex literally stumbles back into her life.

Kris might be the one woman who can save them all. A brilliant marine biologist, she has found a way to make the soil and waters viable again. Can she get the word out alive? Will a woman from her past help her or stop her from saving the world?

Get Heated Rain here.

J. Victoria Tobias’s bio:

Jen Tobias is an author of sapphic romance novels, most with a touch of supernatural and all with spice. She loves to write stories with more to the plot than just romance. As a huge animal lover, pets will always play a role in all of her books. Her day job, which she loves, even revolves around pets. She didn’t start writing until her 50th birthday and hasn’t stopped.

Her other passion is photography, mostly nature but also anything old, abandoned, and spooky. After growing up in Ct., graduating from UCONN, and spending most of her life in Connecticut, she and her wife picked up and moved to Illinois to be closer to family. When she’s not writing or shooting photography, Jen loves hiking, biking, reading, relaxing, and spending time with her wife and furry children.

The next Guess the Author will start on March 30, 2026!

Queer News Worth Clicking Graphic

No matter what happens in these difficult times, TB and Miranda remain committed to bringing you good news from the queer community. While it’s important to stay informed, it’s also vital not to lose sight of all the kindness in the world. Below are the happy queer stories that made us smile this week. They’re queer news links worth clicking!

The WNBA’s New Pay Deal Is Huge—And Still Not Enough — It’s an improvement, but don’t stop fighting for what’s right!

At Creating Change, LGBTQ+ activists gathered to confront turbulent times — Keep fighting the good fight!

School district stands up for trans students after Trump threatens funding — Everyone needs to stand up for trans rights!

Judge blocks RFK Jr.’s dangerous vaccine policy changes. Ex-CDC leader calls it ‘big news’ – Maybe don’t put the brainworm guy in charge of vaccines!

Nepal Elects Its First Trans Woman Member Of Parliament — Wonderful!

I was a homeless trans teen. Telling my story saved me — Stories like these is why we still believe in the good in most people!

Kind strangers raise $90k for trans man’s college tuition after parents cut him off — Another reason to believe in the good in people!

This last one isn’t technically queer news, but TB and Miranda are suckers for cute animal stories:

Alicia Gael selfie

Have you read Return to Morro Harbor by Alicia Gael yet? Here’s the tagline: Devin Davis swore she’d never return to her hometown, but her father’s death forces her return and a confrontation with her past, and that includes Keri Stone.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels!

TB here.

On Miranda’s birthday, we spent the day at Great Wolf Lodge with her kiddos and her parents came for the breakfast buffet. It was a fun day for all.

Here are some photos.

Have a wonderful weekend!
