Home to the Osage, Caddo, and Quapaw tribes, Arkansas was part of the Louisiana Purchase and became the 25th state in 1836.
Today, Arkansas is known as the Natural State, in part for its hot springs and natural landmarks. While we could only find one sapphic book set in Arkansas (we’re sure there must be others!), we have also chosen a book with bees in the title (the Arkansas state insect), and one with pines (the state tree) to celebrate the Great State of Arkansas!
